Australian Science Innovations (ASI), which runs the annual Big Science Competition for tens of thousands of students, faced the challenge of delivering its event reliably during the COVID-19 pandemic. They also sought to modernize their assessment process and provide faster results. ASI partnered with Janison and utilized the Janison Insights platform to offer a flexible online version of the competition.

Janison provided a secure online assessment platform that allowed for a bring-your-own-device approach, giving students and teachers the flexibility to participate from home. The solution included a dashboard that gave teachers full control over test administration. The results were significant, with online participation growing to over 50% of schools. Janison enabled results to be returned in just 10 days instead of the previous 8 weeks, allowing the crucial competition to proceed uninterrupted during the crisis.
