A JAMS Case Study
Marketing Associates, a Detroit-based provider of integrated, real-time marketing platforms for auto, tech and consumer brands, outgrew a patchwork of CRON, Task Scheduler and custom scripts to manage diverse client applications, developers and data sets. As interactive campaigns and custom reporting demands grew, the company faced complex access rules, manual restarts across multiple server instances, and reliance on an outsourced monitoring service that became costly and hard to manage.
The company implemented JAMS as a centralized process-automation and job-scheduling solution, using Active Directory groups to control permissions and PowerShell integration to reduce scripting complexity. JAMS enabled centralized restart and monitoring, held-and-release job workflows for safer deployments, robust logging and reporting to support audit standards (SAS 70/SSAE 16), and eliminated the need for outsourced monitoring—delivering streamlined operations, better visibility and significant cost savings.
