Alinta Energy, which supplies natural gas and electricity to about 700,000 Australian and New Zealand homes and businesses and operates nine power stations, faced a major data and process challenge: its wholesale, retail and generation units were geographically dispersed, relied on multiple ERPs and billing systems acquired over time, and depended heavily on batch-only data sources.
