Vale of Glamorgan Council drives 121,361 social reach with JamJar

The Vale of Glamorgan Council faced the challenge of supporting high street traders and encouraging residents to shop local in Cowbridge following the COVID-19 pandemic. To address this, they commissioned the vendor JamJar to create and deliver a summer event aimed at driving footfall to the town centre.

JamJar created the Festival of Flowers, an experiential marketing campaign that included event concept development, promotion, and management. The month-long event featured decorated shopfronts, pop-up floral installations, workshops, and a culminating celebration with street entertainers. The results were significant, with the promotional social media posts reaching over 121,000 people. Most notably, 100% of surveyed locals agreed the event encouraged them to support their high street, and 75% shopped or ate on the high street as a direct result of the event.
