Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council faced low awareness among parents about the quality childcare provision available in its area. The council hired vendor JamJar to develop and implement a campaign to raise this awareness and educate parents on the benefits of childcare in order to increase the uptake of places.

JamJar created a bilingual digital campaign titled "Best start, best future," which included an interactive map of providers, informational web pages, parent testimonial videos, and targeted social media and TV advertising. The campaign achieved significant results, including over 36,000 YouTube views and a 547% increase in unique website page views. Anecdotally, the featured childcare providers reported being full, extending hours, and expanding their businesses due to increased demand.
