A Jamf Case Study

Supporting technology in the field and at headquarters

National Geographic, one of the world’s largest nonprofit scientific and educational institutions, needed a reliable way to manage a growing fleet of Apple devices across headquarters and field teams. With journalists and staff depending on Macs and iOS devices for creative and on-the-go work, the organization required an Apple-focused management solution that could support demanding workflows while keeping devices secure and easy to use.

Jamf implemented Jamf Pro to configure, deploy, update, image, and manage National Geographic’s Apple devices, along with Self Service for secure user-installed software and printer updates. The result was greater flexibility, stronger security, and less burden on IT, helping National Geographic support about 1,000 Macs and 550 iOS devices, with 90% of employees using iOS and 50% choosing Macs.
