Merrill Corporation, a global provider of outsourcing solutions with 350 Macs across 15 locations, faced a highly customized and difficult-to-manage Mac environment. Its small IT team needed a way to maintain standard builds, handle diverse configurations, and keep global control while supporting frequent updates without disrupting users. Jamf’s Casper Suite was used to help address these Mac management challenges.

Jamf implemented Casper Suite’s policy-driven management, inventory, imaging, and push/pull update capabilities so Merrill could deploy updates more flexibly and let users trigger installs at convenient times. This reduced interruptions, simplified maintenance across complex “Frankenstein” systems, and gave the IT team better visibility and control. Merrill reported that the Casper Suite made ongoing support much easier and called it “the Holy Grail of maintenance” for its Mac environment.
