Scottish Borders Council scales digitized learning across 9 high schools with Jamf

Scottish Borders Council launched the Inspire Learning Project to refresh its education curriculum and address challenges posed by geographical poverty. The council needed a technology solution aligned with its four pillars of mobility, personalisation, collaboration, and excellence. They chose Apple iPads and enlisted the vendor Jamf to provide a mobile device management solution to ensure a seamless and personalised user experience.

Jamf implemented a zero-touch deployment solution using Jamf Pro, which allowed over 10,000 iPads to be provisioned and managed remotely. This enabled students to use their devices straight out of the box and access applications on demand via Jamf Self Service. The solution supported the council's objectives by facilitating remote learning, personalising the experience for individual student needs, enabling collaboration through smart groups, and providing comprehensive reporting. As a result, Jamf helped scale the program to nine high schools, maintaining high levels of engagement and bringing learning to life for students across the region.
