SAP, the global enterprise software leader based in Walldorf, Germany, wanted to improve employee productivity and device choice while delivering a Mac experience comparable to Windows. Before 2016, Mac setup was heavily manual and inconsistent, and SAP needed a better way to manage a growing fleet of Apple devices. SAP chose Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect to support its Apple environment and user experience goals.

Jamf helped SAP scale Apple management across more than 24,000 Macs, 16,000 iPads, 67,000 iPhones, and 230 Apple TVs, while also migrating 84,000 iOS devices to Jamf Pro in seven months. With Jamf Self Service and broader Apple@SAP workflows, employees got faster access to apps and a smoother setup, contributing to a 31% increase in Macs in 2018 and stronger adoption overall. Jamf Protect also gave SAP better macOS threat mitigation and security reporting.
