Case Study: Plum Borough School District achieves unified K-12 learning with Jamf Pro from Jamf

From pockets of devices to a unified learning platform

Plum Borough School District, a K-12 district outside Pittsburgh, PA, was managing a mix of Chromebooks, PCs, Macs, and iPads, which made it difficult for IT to provide a consistent learning experience. To support its move to Apple and a 1-to-1 iPad program, the district needed a better way to centrally manage devices, and turned to Jamf Pro from Jamf after its previous MDM tools fell short.

Jamf Pro helped Plum Borough deploy and manage 300 elementary iPads with much less manual effort, while also giving students immediate access to approved apps and settings through Self Service. The results included fewer support calls, easier password resets, and significantly more time for IT to focus on higher-priority work; the district is now preparing to expand the program with 720 additional middle school iPads.
