Emma Children’s Hospital equips 20–30 apps per iPad with Jamf

Emma Children’s Hospital sought to modernize patient engagement and enhance the hospital experience for its young patients. Their challenge was replacing outdated, wall-mounted entertainment systems that were limited in functionality and costly to update. To address this, the hospital partnered with vendor Jamf and its Jamf Pro service, managed through Sentean, to implement a more personalized technological solution at the bedside.

The solution involved deploying iPads managed by Jamf Pro, which were customized with age and illness-appropriate apps and entertainment for each patient. This implementation, handled by Jamf partner Sentean, facilitated better communication between patients, families, and care teams. The results included patients recovering faster due to reduced boredom and pain distraction. Furthermore, care teams received fewer calls from patients, saving them time and allowing them to focus more on front-line care. Jamf and Sentean successfully helped Emma Children’s Hospital modernize its patient engagement.
