Easing children’s pain with iPad at the bedside

The Bungie Foundation, based in Bellevue, Washington, wanted to ease the pain and stress children feel during hospital stays by bringing entertainment to the bedside. Working with Jamf and using Jamf Pro for its iPads for Kids program, the foundation needed a way to manage hospital iPads securely and without adding burden to hospital staff as the program expanded.

Jamf Pro helped The Bungie Foundation automate device setup, content delivery, and reset workflows using Single App Mode and Jamf Healthcare Listener. The result was a scalable, secure program that saves 50 minutes of setup time per device, per patient, has reached 123,000 kids at Seattle Children’s, and is planned for expansion to more hospitals across the U.S.
