Bering Strait School District - Customer Case Study

Bering Strait School District in Unalakleet, Alaska manages 1,600 Macs across 16 village communities spread over nearly 80,000 square miles, creating major challenges for onsite support, imaging, and inventory. With limited roads and schools reachable only by air or helicopter, the district needed a better way to keep technology running smoothly, and turned to Jamf’s Casper Suite for remote Mac management.

Jamf implemented central management, automation, imaging, and configuration tools through the Casper Suite, allowing the district to deploy software updates, create image configurations, and manage endpoints from one hub. The result was dramatically improved support efficiency and control from John Nasset’s desk, reducing reliance on teachers as tech liaisons and delivering support he described as “unparalleled” compared with before Jamf.
