Alberta Health Services launches 10,000 virtual visits with Jamf

Alberta Health Services, Canada's largest integrated health system, needed to modernize patient in-room entertainment while ensuring data privacy and sought a solution to facilitate virtual visitations when the COVID-19 pandemic halted in-person visits. They turned to vendor Jamf and its products Jamf Pro and Jamf Reset to manage a deployment of 500 iPad devices securely.

Jamf provided a solution using Jamf Pro for deployment and management and Jamf Reset to digitally sterilize devices between patients. This was rapidly adapted to enable Virtual Visits for telehealth, which was configured and rolled out across all devices in just days. The implementation facilitated over 10,000 virtual visits and 100,000 minutes of virtual communication, significantly reducing PPE consumption and limiting in-person interaction while keeping patients connected to their families.
