Jama Software Professional Services Workshop Cuts Down Weeks from TOMTEC’s Development Process

TOMTEC Imaging Systems GmbH, a Germany-based developer of medical imaging and information management software, manages thousands of requirements across distributed teams and must meet strict FDA and EU MDD traceability obligations. Although TOMTEC had implemented Jama Connect in 2016, its document-heavy processes still caused version-control, manual traceability, and export/template problems that slowed development and reporting.

TOMTEC engaged Jama Software Professional Services for a three-day Rapid Optimization Workshop in which a consultant assessed workflows, reconfigured Jama Connect, and trained cross-functional power users to create templates and improve reuse, relinking, and test planning. The engagement delivered weeks of time savings across development, eliminated days of manual report formatting (notably for the Cybersecurity Summary Report), increased team-wide expertise, and produced a roadmap to centralize risk and partner requirements in Jama Connect.
