FS Team Delft, an elite student racing team from Delft University of Technology, undertook an ambitious redesign of their electric Formula Student car (the DUT 14) with a nine‑month timeline and more than 700 requirements to manage. The team faced tens of thousands of interdependent decisions and found their previous communication tools (Word, Dropbox, email) inadequate for fast, coordinated decision‑making across core members and external advisors.

By adopting Jama Software’s modern product delivery platform, the team gained real‑time collaboration, decision tracking, mobile access and robust record keeping. The result: the DUT 14 was completed on time, met all design goals, set a Guinness World Record for electric car acceleration, won the Formula Student title at Silverstone, and preserved knowledge for future teams.
