A Jama Software Case Study
Infineon, a global semiconductor leader with ~47,000 employees, needed to move from a document-centric to a database-centric requirements process to manage thousands of requirements across distributed teams and complex system-on-chip projects. The company faced challenges with manual versioning, slow review cycles, limited reuse of IP, scaling limits of documents, and the need to demonstrate compliance to standards like ISO 26262 while exchanging requirements with customers and suppliers.
Infineon deployed Jama Connect on-premises as a single source of truth, using its scalable data model, Review Center, automatic versioning, reuse libraries, REST API, ReqIF-enabled Data Exchange, and Validation Kit for tool qualification. The result was clearer traceability and auditability for functional safety, faster review and reuse-driven development cycles, improved collaboration across internal and external teams, and more efficient exchange of requirements with customers and suppliers.
