Case Study: European Parliament streamlines intranet and extranet sites with Jahia

A Jahia Case Study

Preview of the European Parliament Case Study

Streamline servers and deliver a better and more cohesive customer experience

The European Parliament has worked with Jahia since 2004 to support many of its websites. By 2016, it had 80 Jahia projects in production and needed to improve information sharing across sites, aggregate news from multiple Directorates-General, and provide more personalized intranet access for different user profiles.

Jahia helped the European Parliament streamline its many servers and projects, encouraging reuse of developments and templates while improving exchange between sites. With project grouping and clustering, deployment time fell by 96% on certain projects and the number of servers decreased by 20%, while the Parliament’s intranet now brings together its internet, intranet, and extranet sites at a scale of 30,000 visits per day, 7 million page views per year, and 10,000 logged-in users.
