Socomec Group, a global manufacturer of low-voltage electrical solutions, needed to simplify and centralize a complex product catalog spread across 21 sites, 14 languages and multiple national markets. A long-time user of Jahia, Socomec chose to assess and migrate to Jahia Digital Factory to provide a clearer site structure, better multi-site and multilingual support, and centralized administration for product data and local customization.
Jahia implemented a migration to Jahia Digital Factory with a single-instance, multi-site architecture, a centralized product catalog accessed via Jahia’s REST API, multilingual support and a partner extranet. The rollout enabled automatic inheritance of region-relevant product data, simplified maintenance and faster site deployments — 21 sites (including regional launches throughout 2013) covering 14 languages and ~250 product descriptions — supporting over 600,000 annual visitors while retaining all sites on the same Jahia instance (with local hosting for China under review).
