Case Study: voestalpine achieves global supplier transparency and harmonized procurement with JAGGAER

A JAGGAER Case Study

Preview of the voestalpine Case Study

voestalpine Brings the Local Market Global

voestalpine, a global technology and industrial goods corporation with over 500 affiliates and 48,500 employees, faced a major procurement challenge: highly decentralized purchasing across 50+ countries meant buyers couldn’t easily share supplier information, coordinate tenders, or capture group-wide savings. To address this, voestalpine selected JAGGAER’s supplier relationship management (SRM) solution—including a central supplier database, scorecards and RFQ capabilities—to harmonize processes and increase transparency while leaving local ERP systems intact.

JAGGAER implemented a central SRM platform that provides a uniform supplier database, shared scorecards, and transparent tenders across the corporation, enabling pooling of demand and easier certificate and rating exchange. The rollout supports about 400 procurement users, has processed more than 1,000 tenders and registered roughly 2,000 suppliers, reduced daily workload for buyers, improved pricing through bundled orders, and preserved local ERP operations via multi‑ERP integration. JAGGAER’s solution has effectively turned voestalpine’s “local market” into a global, coordinated procurement organization.
