A JAGGAER Case Study
The University of Nottingham, a global research university serving about 41,000 students and 7,000 staff, needed greater spend visibility, better contract compliance and a streamlined purchase-to-pay process to reduce invoicing errors and the time staff spent finding and requisitioning items. To meet these challenges the university selected JAGGAER’s source-to-settle online marketplace, initially for laboratory supplies.
JAGGAER delivered a hosted-catalogue marketplace with point-and-click requisitions, images and accurate pricing, which drove strong user adoption and was extended to stationery, PCs, IT consumables and electrical/mechanical goods. As a result, orders through JAGGAER rose 153% (940 to 2,385), spend through the platform increased 189%, and by December 2010 the solution processed 90% of stationery, 80% of PCs, 95% of IT consumables and 70% of electrical and mechanical goods, improving on‑contract spend and operational efficiency.
