A JAGGAER Case Study
Virginia Tech, the large public research university, needed a single, full‑suite eProcurement solution to replace paper processes and support both external purchases and internal auxiliary operations. After a two‑year search the university selected JAGGAER in 2008 to power “HokieMart,” but legacy ERP requisition encumbrance meant central purchasing still routed outside JAGGAER — limiting analytics and end‑to‑end requisition control.
JAGGAER, working with Stonebridge Ventures, re‑engineered and upgraded HokieMart to run the full requisition process, add dashboards and new request forms, and consolidate roughly 1,400 central purchases into the system. The result: elimination of paper forms, virtually all purchase requests processed electronically (100% except telecom), sustained reliable operation for 12+ years, improved spend visibility and reporting, and critical pandemic support — 85% remote staff able to buy 24/7 and a centralized PPE ordering/distribution process stood up in two days.
