Merck, a global science and technology company, faced the challenge of managing thousands of technical contractors—about 8,000 at a single location—across multiple parallel IT systems. JAGGAER implemented a centralized, user-friendly platform with supplier self-registration, automatic duplicate checks, certificate-based blocking, reminders, ticketed evaluations and an integrated sample generator. The JAGGAER solution put several thousand suppliers and ~400 internal users onto one system, enabled evaluations in under a minute, improved data quality and accessibility, reduced manual maintenance and costs, and sped up and secured contractor processes—helping Merck better control supplier numbers and performance.
