A JAGGAER Case Study
Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), which operates Kuwait’s domestic refining, gas liquefaction and fuel distribution and is delivering two $30B‑plus mega projects, faced procurement bottlenecks and security concerns that threatened continuous refinery operations. Seeking a secure, integrated strategic sourcing platform that would tie into its Enterprise Asset Management system and meet strict government IT protocols, KNPC selected JAGGAER to provide an on‑premise, fully managed eSourcing/private cloud solution.
JAGGAER implemented a modular eSourcing portal (supplier registration, tendering, advanced evaluation, reverse auctions, workflows and EAM integration) that standardized processes, introduced bid‑comparison and negotiation tools, enabled mobile approvals, and allowed KNPC to retire legacy applications. The portal delivered a significant reduction in tender evaluation times, lowered operating costs by phasing out legacy systems and freeing IT resources, and proved highly resilient — remaining fully operational with no performance impact during a regional cyberattack. KNPC is now piloting JAGGAER Spend Analytics and Supplier Performance Management to further optimize sourcing and reduce supplier risk.
