Kedrion Develops a Procurement Model for Unique Challenges in the Biopharma Space

Kedrion Biopharma, a global biopharmaceutical company specializing in plasma‑derived medicines, faced unique procurement challenges where supply chains, quality, ethics and economic sustainability must be balanced for a biological raw material that cannot be synthetically produced. To simplify and digitize purchasing while freeing up resources for strategic sourcing, Kedrion Biopharma partnered with JAGGAER and adopted the JAGGAER One platform, including Supplier Intelligence and eProcurement capabilities.

JAGGAER implemented an incremental, source‑to‑pay solution—starting with digital catalog management and extending to supplier negotiations, qualification and onboarding—automating daily operational purchasing and improving supplier performance and risk visibility. The deployment has already been adopted at Kedrion Biopharma’s Gödöllő site, with rollouts planned to the United States and United Kingdom within 12 months, enabling the company to focus procurement teams on higher‑value strategic purchases and better meet patient therapeutic needs.
