How Körber Successfully Introduced a Procurement Network

Körber AG, a global technology group of about 11,500 employees and more than 100 production, service, and sales entities, wanted to move from fully decentralized purchasing to a flexible centralized/de‑centralized network. They needed a holistic SRM platform that could handle the diverse procurement needs of subsidiaries, support cooperative processes like consolidated price negotiations, and integrate with more than 20 different ERP systems. To meet these requirements they engaged JAGGAER to provide SRM capabilities along with eRFQ and Purchase Order Management (POM) functionality.

JAGGAER implemented a centralized SRM supplier database, category‑specific release workflows, automatic duplicate checks across ERPs, the eRFQ tool for automated online bids, and the POM module for tactical sourcing—while keeping existing ERPs intact. The solution accelerated order releases, enabled fast, automated calls for bids, and delivered a significant two‑digit percentage reduction in operational purchasing work time, freeing employees for strategic tasks and allowing new Körber entities to be onboarded quickly.
