Hansgrohe: From the Design to the Finished Product

Hansgrohe, a leading manufacturer of design-oriented bathroom fittings, faced lengthy procurement cycles for highly customized production parts (around 800–1,200 RFQs per year) and needed seamless transfer of CAD/PLM documents into its SAP landscape. Category-based IT tools proved insufficient, so Hansgrohe turned to JAGGAER to deploy a web-based eSourcing solution and linked document management/supplier portal fully integrated with SAP.

JAGGAER implemented an automated CAX Data Exchange and supplier portal (plus a Supplier Management module) to deliver CAD and product documentation directly to suppliers, encrypt transfers, and manage long‑term vendor declarations online. As a result, over 75% of suppliers (covering more than 90% of purchasing volume) use the portal, manual RFQ processing and data maintenance fell by 50%, offer response times improved by 2–3 days (up to 14 days in Global Sourcing), and Hansgrohe now generates significantly more RFQs without adding purchasing effort.
