Metso, a global process performance provider serving mining, oil & gas and aggregates, faced inefficient, manual expediting and legacy contract and supplier self-service tools after a company-wide SAP rollout. Buyers relied on phone and email that often weren’t recorded in SAP, harming planning data and downstream processes. Seeking a single SAP‑integrated portal with engineered‑to‑order and quality capabilities, Metso selected JAGGAER’s all‑in‑one supply collaboration platform.

JAGGAER implemented an SAP‑integrated portal with supplier self‑service, quality and contract lifecycle functionality, plus automatic reminders; blueprinting began in October 2013, pilots ran in April 2014 and the system went live in May 2014. The solution delivered more efficient expediting, accurate planning data, high supplier acceptance (suppliers called it “as simple to use as Amazon”), reduced buyer workload, improved supply‑base maintenance, and growing adoption—Metso is expanding internal users and plans to onboard over 1,000 suppliers globally with JAGGAER.
