A JAGGAER Case Study
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, a large medical education and research institution with more than 5,000 employees, faced a decentralized purchasing model that let individual users spend up to $5,000 and caused inconsistent pricing, low user adoption, and preventable ordering and shipping errors. To consolidate spend, increase adoption, aggregate supplier content and integrate with its Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP, the university turned to JAGGAER and licensed JAGGAER’s Spend Director and the JAGGAER Supplier Network.
JAGGAER integrated Spend Director and the JAGGAER Supplier Network with the university’s Oracle/PeopleSoft eProcurement, providing a single, intuitive catalog and supplier gateway that routes selections back to the ERP for approval. The deployment increased on-contract/on-catalog spending, improved requisition accuracy and efficiency, boosted spend visibility and user satisfaction, and reduced internal catalog and punch-out costs—delivering measurable procurement savings and fewer ordering errors.
