A JAGGAER Case Study
Emory University, a leading research university and the largest private employer in Atlanta, faced a decentralized procurement environment where roughly 350 departments ordered independently with little visibility into spending. That lack of spend insight prevented Emory from leveraging buying power or enforcing negotiated terms, so the university turned to JAGGAER and its procurement automation software (implemented as “Emory Express”) to bring order and control to purchasing.
JAGGAER implemented its full source-to-settle suite—including eProcurement, catalog management and Invoicing—by rolling out an online marketplace and automated requisition, PO and invoice processes to drive contract compliance and streamline workflows. The result: a smooth campus-wide rollout, verified price compliance, positive cash flow within 12 months, and a measured 6-to-1 return on investment (with savings split roughly 45% from process efficiencies and 55% from negotiated discounts and contract compliance).
