Coop Italia Selects JAGGAER to Manage its Suppliers and Guarantee Transparency

Coop Italia, a retail chain with more than 1,150 stores and private‑label products accounting for about 30% of sales, faced a rapid ramp‑up in product references and the need to standardize purchasing, manage supplier relationships across the product lifecycle, and make product information available to consumers while protecting confidential data. To address this, Coop Italia selected JAGGAER and its PLT (Private Label Trade) platform.

JAGGAER implemented a cloud‑hosted PLT portal that now registers about 4,700 suppliers and is used by roughly 300 commercial and quality management users, providing a single, traceable repository for product details, supplier certifications, audits, labels and negotiations. The solution made supplier claims auditable (e.g., allergen declarations), supported the Origini Trasparenti consumer site and interactive Expo demonstrations, improved purchasing efficiency and supplier governance, and delivers strong data protection through a dedicated production environment and ISO27001 security standards.
