Cancer Research UK Optimizes its Sourcing and Contract Management From Telecoms to Mud

Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity, faced major financial pressure after the COVID-19 pandemic—forecasting a £30m fall in income in 2020 and £300m over three years—and needed a centralized way to manage disparate regional suppliers, complex approval processes and a wide range of sourcing categories (from telecoms to event “mud”). To address this, the charity adopted JAGGAER’s contract management and sourcing platform to gain visibility and control over contracts and supplier relationships.

Using JAGGAER’s contract database and sourcing modules, Cancer Research UK streamlined RFI/RFP processes and consolidated complex categories into single tenders, cutting the time to execute large tenders from several months to a few weeks (with some tenders built in under a month). The JAGGAER solution delivered faster setup and execution, more efficient contract management and greater organizational agility, and Cancer Research UK renewed its JAGGAER contract in autumn 2020.
