Highlands and Islands Airport - Customer Case Study

Highlands and Islands Airport Limited (HIAL) partnered with Jadu, using Jadu Central and related accessibility, UX, web design and testing services, to relaunch its website for travellers across Scotland’s regional airports. The challenge was to create a mobile-responsive site that improved customer experience while meeting the highest WCAG 2.1 AAA accessibility standards, with key information like arrivals, departures, parking and partner details easy to find on the move.

Jadu delivered a fully accessible, mobile-friendly website shaped by extensive user research, on-site discovery, eye tracking and testing with the public and staff. The new site includes airport-specific mini-sites, clear navigation, customised flight information pages and accessibility controls such as font size, colour scheme and font options. The result was a cleaner, more attractive experience, increased customer satisfaction from survey feedback, and better support for HIAL’s airports and the communities they serve.
