Harbor Freight Tools recovers 10TB and improves EBS performance with Jade Global

Harbor Freight Tools, a leader in tool and equipment retailing, faced challenges with its Oracle EBS system due to an extremely high volume of inventory transactions, complex database maintenance, and rapidly growing data. This created slow performance and complexity ahead of an imminent upgrade. To address this, Harbor Freight engaged vendor Jade Global to implement an "Archive & Datawarehouse" solution to keep its database at healthy levels.

Jade Global utilized ODI on Cloud Marketplace to migrate historical data from an on-premise database to a cloud DB for archival. The team developed custom concurrent programs to purge data and built APEX UI screens with role-based security for querying archived information. This solution from Jade Global improved system performance, recovered approximately 10 TB of space, and reduced the complexity and time required for the upcoming Oracle EBS upgrade.
