Zebra Teams With Jabil To Speed Development And Delivery of Revolutionary, Iot-enabled Sports Tracking Solution

Zebra Technologies, a U.S.-based technology company, needed to finalize the design and rapidly ramp production of an IoT-enabled, RFID player-tracking solution for the NFL on a two-month timeline. To meet the tight schedule, Zebra turned to Jabil for manufacturing support, RFID expertise, and global supply chain capabilities.

Jabil used its Silicon Valley manufacturing facility, engineering resources, and supply chain strength to help Zebra scale from prototype to production, make design and routing improvements, and ensure quality and reliability. The collaboration enabled Zebra to deliver thousands of sensor tags in time for the 2014 football pre-season and later expand the solution for the 2015 season and beyond, supporting worldwide game tracking and future IoT product development.
