Sanook, part of Tencent Thailand and the country’s #1 news destination, signed an annual contract with iZooto to use its owned-audience marketing platform (push notifications). Despite high overall traffic and a 5.8M Facebook following, Sanook struggled to turn one-time search and social visitors into repeat readers and wanted a way to engage users outside the website and increase time on site.
iZooto onboarded Sanook in June 2019 and helped build a subscriber base from zero to 4,723,860 in under a year, sending contextual push notifications to drive real-time returns. As a result, iZooto now contributes ~10M pageviews (about 10% of Sanook’s traffic); push-driven visitors generate 2–2.5× more pageviews than search and social and spend as much time on site as direct traffic, with a goal to grow iZooto’s contribution to 20M pageviews.
