Trak.in, a leading Indian business news blog with 50K+ followers, faced low subscription and engagement rates as an early adopter of web notifications. Their existing flow suffered from consent captured on the provider’s subdomain (creating lock-in) and a two-step subscription process that led to high drop-off. To address this, Trak.in partnered with iZooto to deploy Web Push Notifications using the iZooto Tag.
iZooto implemented a one-click, cookie-less, client-first subscription experience with a custom overlay and notification design on trak.in, moving consent to the publisher’s domain. The change delivered an 8–10X increase in daily subscribers (from ~40–50 to ~300–400), drove 30–40% repeat traffic, yielded roughly 10% click-through rates on notifications, and contributed to measurable conversion gains.
