Identfy launches two-wallet digital identity platform with IZERTIS in 2023

Identfy, a project creating Spain's first open-source digital wallet, faced the challenge of harmonizing and simplifying digital identity management. They needed a secure tool to provide users with autonomous and decentralized control over their digital identity and personal data, improve identification processes, and ensure interoperability across the European Union. To address this, they partnered with vendor IZERTIS to develop the Identfy solution.

IZERTIS implemented Identfy, a product specifically created for issuing and presenting verifiable credentials linked to a self-managed digital identity. The solution consists of a Holder Wallet mobile app for citizens and an Enterprise Wallet service for organizations, built on decentralized ledger technology for trust and security. The result is a platform that ensures interoperability across member states, gives users total control over their credentials, and provides selective disclosure and biometric identification, all while aligning with eIDAS2 regulations and GDPR compliance.
