Grupo Tubacex unifies data across 20+ environments with IZERTIS

Grupo Tubacex, a multinational group specializing in the production and sale of seamless stainless steel tubes, faced a significant data management challenge. Due to its global expansion, its data was spread across more than 20 different environments, making it difficult to control and highlighting the need for a Data Governance initiative. To address this, the company partnered with vendor IZERTIS to establish the necessary mechanisms for comprehensive data management and to implement a governed Business Intelligence solution.

IZERTIS structured a multi-phase project, beginning with a strategic definition for data governance. They then designed and developed a scalable corporate Data Pool, integrating data from various business units using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) and later incorporating Microsoft Data Services (MDS) for master data management. The solution was complemented with custom Qlik applications for data visualization. As a result, IZERTIS successfully positioned Grupo Tubacex as a data-driven company with a centralized, governed repository of reliable data, enabling better production control and consolidating its leadership in the sector.
