Case Study: Standard Calibrations, Inc. achieves scalable high availability and performance with iXsystems TrueNAS

Standard Calibrations, Inc. boosts virtual machine performance and supports 80 users with iXsystems TrueNAS

Standard Calibrations, Inc. (SCI), a provider of maritime and industrial instrumentation, faced a challenge in finding a powerful and economical storage solution for their new virtualization environment. Their usual vendor recommended iXsystems' TrueNAS Enterprise, which offered an enterprise-grade storage array at a significantly lower cost than other solutions.

iXsystems provided a consultative sales process and a TrueNAS Enterprise storage system designed for SCI's specific needs. The solution was easily upgraded non-disruptively with flash devices and High Availability to improve performance and eliminate downtime. The results included greatly reduced administration overhead, the ability to run large SQL queries without impacting other VMs, and top-tier support from iXsystems throughout the deployment and upgrade process.
