The customer, Bäumer, a manufacturer of foam cutting machines, faced challenges in its transition to servitization and Industry 4.0. Its initial digital service portal was too complex for both internal staff and customers to use effectively, failing to meet diverse client needs and hurting adoption. Bäumer partnered with vendor IXON to implement a new solution for its service package, SophieAccess.

By switching to IXON Cloud, Bäumer made its remote access service much simpler to use and sell. The internal effort for commissioning and setting up a remote connection was reduced by 50%. For its customer Ikano Industry, the solution provided by IXON centralized manufacturing data, enabling transparent production, immediate problem-solving, and significant cost savings through reduced material waste.
