Case Study: Telenor Norway accelerates lab validation with Ixia Anue NTO

Visibility Isn’t Just for “Live” Networks!

Telenor Norway, the Norwegian operation of one of the world's largest mobile communications companies, required better visibility into network traffic within its testing lab to validate new services more efficiently. The challenge was to monitor VoIP traffic over an IP core, a process that was slowed down by having to gather traffic from multiple, disparate passive taps. The company turned to vendor Ixia for a solution using its Anue Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) network monitoring switch.

Ixia's solution aggregated the traffic from all the taps into a single monitoring point, which was then sent to an analyzer. This allowed Telenor's lab team to easily mirror traffic to multiple tools, monitor several links at once, and quickly filter traffic based on specific criteria. The result was a much faster and more thorough service validation process, accelerating the launch of new services and leading to an improved user experience for Telenor's customers.
