Government Agency, a federal government organization in the Middle East, needed a way to filter and deduplicate 100 Gbps traffic while reducing it to 10 Gbps for security processing and lowering security tool costs. Working with Ixia, it sought a visibility solution for its out-of-band security tools that could handle heavy suspect-data analysis without adding unnecessary expense.

Ixia implemented the Vision ONE NPB, ATI Processor, AppStack, and PacketStack to filter traffic in stages, remove duplicates and payloads, and load-balance the remaining data across existing Cisco FirePOWER and FireEye tools. As a result, Government Agency cut additional tool costs by $260K, improved security tool efficiency by 35%, removed duplicate monitoring traffic, and extended the life of its current security solution by 2 to 3 years.
