Financial Services Company, one of the largest personal lines insurers in the United States with operations in Canada, needed to close security blind spots after a major 2014 security event. The company wanted better network visibility and packet broker support for new security tools such as security analytics and firewalls, and evaluated Ixia solutions including NTO 7300 systems, ATIP modules, vTAP, and Indigo Pro Manager Virtual.

Ixia implemented a packet-broker and visibility solution that supplied critical security data to the company’s tools, improved central monitoring, and simplified management with a single pane of glass. In a proof-of-concept comparison, Ixia proved more reliable than the competitor by avoiding packet loss, and at 40 Gbps it processed 100% of traffic across all tested frame sizes versus the competitor’s 27.4% to 99.6%, strengthening security posture and boosting IT productivity.
