Mobile Telecommunications Service Providing Company, a European mobile telecom service provider, needed a visibility solution to support lawful intercept for regulatory compliance, improve QoS monitoring, and control capital spending as it upgraded to 100GE. It turned to Ixia and its Flex Tap and network packet broker capabilities to capture and filter high-speed traffic for both compliance and network performance tools.

Ixia implemented Flex Tap access points and the NTO 7300 packet broker to tap 10GE, 40GE, and 100GE links, filter relevant traffic, and load-balance data to existing lower-speed tools. The solution enabled lawful intercept delivery, improved monitoring efficiency, and helped the company save $200K in tool costs while extending the life of its current monitoring tools by at least another year.
