The Prince Edward Island Symphony Orchestra, a community orchestra in Charlottetown, Canada, needed a better way to identify individuals and corporations with an affinity for arts and culture, as well as the capacity and propensity to give. With ticket sales, fundraising events, and government funding covering only part of its operating budget, the PEISO board turned to iWave and its prospecting tools to strengthen donor discovery.

Using iWave since January 2020, PEISO leveraged 360search and iWave’s wealth, philanthropic, and biographic data to assess donor capacity, review real estate holdings, and find prospects aligned with its mission. The result was more actionable fundraising, helping the orchestra ask the right person for the right amount at the right time, and supporting its launch of a new foundation to identify a broader pool of future donors.
