A iWave Case Study
Nottingham Trent University (NTU) needed to expand its prospect research beyond the UK to support an ambitious cancer research project at its John van Geest Cancer Research Centre. With no medical school but a potentially groundbreaking cancer vaccination breakthrough on the horizon, NTU’s development team had to identify US-based alumni with the capacity to give and grant-making trusts in the United States that would support cancer research and a UK/US collaboration. iWave provided the international prospect research capabilities NTU needed through Prospect Research Online (PRO).
Using iWave’s PRO, NTU’s team searched by specific criteria and keywords such as immunotherapy, then filtered, saved, and shared profiles of promising alumni and US trusts across the development team and scientists. The solution helped iWave enable NTU to uncover high net worth alumni, identify relevant grant-making trusts, and build a prioritized prospect list with strong affinity to the university’s cancer research. While the case study does not cite dollar figures, the measurable impact was a more targeted, collaborative fundraising pipeline and prospects that were previously not on NTU’s radar.
