Leading Financial Services Company, a law firm recognized as a leader in financial services and real estate mergers and acquisitions, was struggling with a LAN platform that could no longer meet business needs. Backups were not meeting recovery point objectives (RPOs) or recovery time objectives (RTOs), creating risk for operations and data protection. iVision worked with the company’s existing Hitachi Unified Storage environment and CommVault IntelliSnap software to address the issue.

iVision implemented LAN-free backups every four hours instead of once daily and routed replicated backups to the disaster recovery site over a wide-area network without data-path bottlenecks. The result was a dramatic reduction in backup time from days to hours, and in some cases minutes, while improving security, functionality, and overall network performance.
