University of Ottawa launches BioLingo in two phases with Iversoft

The University of Ottawa's biology department faced a challenge engaging first-year students and evaluating their progress in large classes. Professor Elaine Beaulieu needed a way to make learning technical vocabulary fun but lacked the technical expertise to build it. The university partnered with Iversoft to develop a solution.

Iversoft designed and developed BioLingo, a mobile-responsive web app that gamifies learning through trivia and a leaderboard. They also built a custom CMS for easy content management. The solution was immediately popular with students, who requested more access to the app to improve their grades. The success of the project led to interest from other departments. Iversoft delivered an effective platform that increased student motivation.
