Goodwill Industries of San Joaquin Valley is a nonprofit operating 17 retail stores, two bulk‑sale facilities and 8,500 donation boxes across the San Joaquin Valley. Facing disconnected spreadsheets, whiteboards, POS and accounting systems, GISJV had no real‑time inventory visibility, couldn’t track product or donation boxes across sites, and suffered frequent out‑of‑stocks and low inventory turnover that hindered growth.
Working with Softengine, GISJV implemented iVend Retail with SAP Business One as part of the Goodwill Suite to create a single, integrated inventory and POS platform. The solution delivered real‑time, item‑level visibility (including donation boxes), daily store sales tracking, fewer errors and redundant processes, faster store openings with proper staffing and stock, and better data for promotions and marketing — improving efficiency, reducing costs, and strengthening the organization’s bottom line.
